Responsibilities
● Create drink and food menus
● Implement and ensure standards are attained within the department through continuous
training of all staff with special emphasis on customer care.
● Ensure that all new staff receives a structured induction, including a thorough briefing on all
bar menus and products, within the first three days and that a training plan is devised to
develop the individual and the team.
● Implement daily, weekly duties list and to monitor the staff’s effectiveness in carrying out
these duties
● Ensure bar is well-stocked with all needed supplies and clean.
● Ensure that cleaning duties are carried out on a daily basis.
● Maintain drink recipes documentation with the correct ingredients.
● Oversee planning for special events along with the management.
● Ensure that all staff is briefed and organized into stations with specific duties allocated to them
before service begins.
● Oversee, train, promote, and, when necessary, discipline staff, including bartenders, waiters
and beach boys in order to provide excellent guest service.
● Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar, restaurant and beach orders
● Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
● Advise customers of specials, promotions, and happy hour discounts.
● Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
● Ensure prompt service for customers.
● Take payments via cash and card, give correct change and receipts.
● Handle guest complaints and contact appropriate persons in case a situation escalates beyond
their expertise
● Comply with health and safety regulations.
● Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements and skills
● High school diploma. Degree in Hospitality Management or Bartending School or other related
field will be considered an asset.
● At least 2 years working experience in a similar position, preferably in a 4* or 5* hotel.
Restaurant or management experience or more education is generally preferred.
● Good knowledge and use of Greek and English both written and verbal (A second foreign
language will be considered an asset)
● Strong knowledge of mixology and cocktail ingredients
● Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
● Knowledge of POS/PDA ordering software (HIT WebPos preferred)
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team
members.
● Customer-focused attitude with an approachable and friendly demeanor
● Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced
environment
● Professional appearance and demeanor, including a neat and well-groomed appearance and the
ability to maintain confidentiality
● Strong leadership ability, calm under pressure and to deescalate tense interactions
● Knowledge of food, beverage, and hospitality industries.
● Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
