Position Summary
The Business Development Manager (Conferences and groups), generates new accounts and sales channels to achieve Hotel goals by increasing occupancy.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise all MICE enquiries (existing/new leads) in an accurate and timely
manner
- Oversee all MICE proposals with company brand standards
- Sets up strategies of maximising Hotel occupancy and revenue
- Achieve monthly sales targets
- Develops and Maintains customised database
- Manages all MICE distribution channels, maximising on their potential and
production
- Build strong relationships with customers and agents to understand their needs
- Conduct tours for potential clients where relevant and appropriate
- Develop Sales Activity Plan
Qualifications
Experience:
- 5 years proven experience of selling MICE for Hotels to individuals, corporates
and MICE agents
- Excellent knowledge of key MICE segments in the region with experience
developing specific strategies
- Existing relationship with corporates and MICE agents
- Proven track record developing new corporate relationship and converting
these relationships to sales
- Education
- Degree from a major, accredited institution in the fields of hospitality,
marketing, finance, business administration
- High knowledge of MICE Market
