Responsibilities
We are currently seeking to recruit Assistant Restaurant Managers for the season 2023.
Job Role
To direct, control and plan all Restaurant related activities throughout the hotel
Provide direction, inspiration and guidance to his/her team members
To manage the restaurant service within the Hotel, and ensure that customers are served promptly & courteously, in accordance to the Standard Operating Procedures and hygiene and safety regulations of Thanos Hotels
To supervise and lead the department, in order to meet the required standards and exceed all customer expectations
Duties & Responsibilities
Smooth and organized running of the Restaurant
Supervise and co-ordinate daily operation of meeting/banquet set-ups and service
Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
Resolve customer complaints promptly
Achieve financial goals in revenue, expenses and profits
Delegate duties and tasks to staff to meet objectives and maximize resources
Identify training and development needs for staff
Maintain excellent communication with all staff and other departments to ensure a supporting team of professionals
Promote teamwork and foster a harmonious working environment
Manage staff performance and conduct performance appraisals
Stay upd ated with the international F&B trends and make appropriate suggestions to the Food and Beverage Manager
Implement improvements for products and service
Comply with all Health and Safety rules and regulations
Organize promotional activities
Comply and communicate company policies, standards and procedures to staff and ensure that they are implemented
Ensure meeting rooms are se t-up according to function sheets and client’s requirements
Ensure duties are carried out in an honest and ethical way by abiding the Hotels’ rules and regulations and the Cyprus Law
Perform any other duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager and the F& B Manager
Requirements
At least 2 years of previous experience as a Restaurant Supervisor at a 5* Hotel
Extensive F&B knowledge
Fluent English and Greek
Excellent interpersonal skills in handling Staff relations
Excellent leadership skills
Computer literate
To be able to work in a fast pace environment and cope under pressure
Business awareness for achieving successful performance
The ability to work independently and take initiative
Able to identify problems and facilitate the problem-solving process in the work environment
Excellent communication skills in both English and Greek
BSc Degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts or Bar related courses, will be considered as an advantage
