Catering Cook A.

Responsibilities:

* Produce high-quality hot and cold foods according to recipes developed by the Executive Chef Organize all food prep stations to ensure smooth and efficient flow in the kitchen.
* Ensures that inventory of supplies is completed regularly, and items required are in-stock.
* Has the ability to prepare the buffet and ala carte requested food items as needed to meet special guest dietary requirements. Ensures all service lines are replenished as needed on an ongoing basis.
* Prepares all stations and ensures the kitchen is clean and ready for the next shift. Communicate clearly if any kitchen or menu items are running low and need to be ordered.
* Ensures deliveries are stored in their proper place and in a timely manner.
* Ensures all kitchen areas are kept organized and clean, including storage shelves, hallways, work surfaces, and coolers.
* Assists with coaching and training prep cooks or staff members new to the kitchen
* Establishes and maintains effective employee and inter-departmental working relationships.
* Assists the Executive Chef in developing training plans, develops training material in accordance with Uptown guidelines, and implements training plans for kitchen employees.
* Assists the Executive Chef in developing and maintaining updated operations manuals for Kitchen Staff.
* Assists the Executive Chef in developing popular menus offering guests value for money in accordance with Uptown guidelines.
* Assists the Executive Chef in planning and organizing successful Food and Beverage activities.
* Conducts daily briefings and other meetings as needed to obtain optimal results.
* Assists the Executive Chef in setting Kitchen Production and goals and developing strategies, procedures, and policies.
* Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
* Haccp paperwork
* Manage his team on his station for the shift

Candidate Profile & Qualifications:
* Command of the English language both written and verbal is a must.
* Enthusiasm, professionalism and continuous development in an ever-growing team.
* Ability to provide high-quality services in a professional work environment.
* Similar experience in a restaurant or hotel.
* Culinary school degree will be considered as a strong advantage.
