Scope
We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Commis Chef to join our team. As a Cook A, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide variety of dishes to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our customers. You will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and creativity while working in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes, ensuring the highest quality and presentation standards
• Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistency in taste and portion sizes
• Execute all cooking techniques with precision and efficiency, including grilling, sautéing, baking, and frying
• Maintain a clean and organized cooking station, ensuring proper sanitation and adherence to food safety guidelines
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and implement new menu items and specials
• Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure proper food storage and handling
• Assist in inventory management, including ordering and stock rotation
Requirements
• Previous experience as a cook or chef in a high-volume restaurant or similar establishment
• Strong knowledge of different cooking techniques and familiarity with a wide range of cuisines
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays, as required
