Responsibilities for kitchen cook

·       Insure sanitation and safety conditions, and prepare kitchen and dining room to meet Department of Health regulations

·       Keep a running inventory of food and supplies

·       Maintain all equipment

·       Produce a daily prep list

·       Prepare written daily orders

·       Train lower level Cooks in proper equipment use

·       Knowledge of different knife cuts

·       Ability to organize and delegate work assignments/tasks

·       Must be able to maintain a neat, professional, well-groomed appearance and uphold company appearance/dress standards

·       Following guidelines to make sure products are displayed correctly

·       You need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment, providing our customers with the best service levels possible

Qualifications for kitchen cook
Ability to organize time
Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25kg, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks assigned
Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, and kneeling without restriction, work indoors, and be exposed to various environmental factors.
Must have basic knife skills
Order food supplies, check and inventory all incoming shipments of food and/or supplies.
