Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Set the workstation with the required ingredients and equipment for cooking.
Prepare the ingredients before cooking them such as cutting the meat, preparing batter, boiling vegetables, etc.
Cook according to the steps and techniques as needed for the dish being prepared.
Present the food neatly before serving.
Ensure food and ingredients are stored in their required conditions.
Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitary.
Follow the health codes and regulations in all activities.
Maintain an inventory of all the ingredients and ensure there is always a stock of ingredients.
Maintain the kitchen equipment and utensils well
Requirements
High school graduate.
Additional diploma in culinary school is preferred.
Well versed with various cooking methods and using kitchen equipment.
Maintain high levels of cleanliness in all activities.
Excellent knowledge of flavors and technique.
Exceptional communication skills, physical health and a sense of teamwork.
