Responsibilities

Position: Receptionist
Reports to: Front Office Manager
Division: Front Office
Hotel: Radisson Beach Resort, Larnaca

Responsibilities:
o Keeps the Reception desk in full working order, equipped as per operational and guest needs.
o Is available to register, process, and greet guests promptly.
o Welcomes guests to the hotel.
o Responds to guests requests for information about the hotel and its surroundings.
o Assists guests with all requests that come to Reception; transfers requests to other departments or escalates to Management.
o Executes check-in and check-out process.
o Marks no-shows in the relevant sites and PMS.
o Handles a shift or personal float, opens and closes as per procedures.
o Answers calls from guests and/or other departments and/or external lines in absence of OneTouch Agent.
o Addresses questions or problems pertaining to customer room accommodations and rates.
o Updates and/or inputs room reservations at the absence of Reservations Agents.
o Keeps effective key control and participates in matters relating to customer room security.
o Ensures that guest mail and messages are delivered promptly by overseeing mail and message delivery functions.
o Monitors advance deposit and credit procedures.
o Responds orally to positive and negative comments expressed in comments from guests, acts proactively or escalates when needed.
o Brings major needs to the attention of the Front Office Management.
o Checks the arrival list, conference guest list, and VIP list and informs appropriate individuals on returning guests, VIP’s and special guests.
o Blocks rooms for VIP’s and special guests.
o Monitors Front Office activities regarding discounts, billing instructions, and compliance with hotel credit policies.
o Co-ordinates billing with the Accounting Department.
o Promotes hotel outlets.
o Promotes Radisson Rewards as per the annual targets.

Requirements and skills

o Excellent command over written and spoken English.
o Previous experience in a customer focus industry.
o Hands-on approach with a can-do work style.
o Excellent grooming standards.
o Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
o Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry.
o Ability to find creative solutions taking ownership for duties and tasks assigned.
o Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence.
o Strong communication skills.
o Competent level of IT proficiency.
o EU citizen / EU work permit holder.
