Service Technician – Power Tools

Responsibilities

Our Service Technician will be responsible for inspecting and diagnosing faults in electric tools and equipment, using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques to identify mechanical or electrical issues. He/she is required perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as replacing motors, switches, cords, and worn components, ensuring all work aligns with manufacturer specifications and safety standards. After repairs, they thoroughly test tools to verify proper operation and safety. The technician is also responsible for maintaining accurate service records, tracking parts usage, and managing spare parts inventory. We are looking for someone that has the ability to interact with customers to explain repair work and provide basic guidance on proper use and maintenance.

Requirements and skills

High school diploma or technical school certificate (required).
Vocational training or certification in electrical or mechanical repair (preferred).
Apprenticeship or prior experience in a similar role is a strong advantage.
Solid knowledge of how electric tools and machines work (e.g. drills, grinders, saws).
Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals.
Skilled in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools.
Familiarity with both AC and DC systems, small motors, switches, batteries, etc.
